Honest comparison
Ransom vs the iPhone Clock app
Apple's Clock is excellent at scheduling a sound. Ransom adds a wake-up contract after the sound begins.
Use Apple's Clock when simple works
Clock is already installed, fast, free, and supports one-time or repeating alarms, labels, sounds, and adjustable snooze duration. Silent mode and Focus do not mute its alarms.
Use Ransom when dismissal is the problem
If you hear the alarm but stop it automatically, a different ringtone may not change the behavior. Ransom adds math, movement, distance, and proof before the alarm ends.
